Anecdotes Told About Life In Riyadh

Anecdotes Told About Life In Riyadh

Continued from the previous article…Lots of anecdotes were told about life in Riyadh. Some expatriates talked about not wanting to go back to the states because the U. S. government taxed them and gave the money away to other countries.

Others enjoyed the generous vacation provided by the hospital traveling three or four times a year in different parts of the world. Those who had been there for over 10 years claimed that the restrictions imposed upon them became a way of life. They had adapted to the environment in Riyadh.

Single males, putting on the abaya and covering their faces with veils were able to visit their girlfriends inside the apartment. It was past midnight when our male friend dropped us off in our apartments.
